Job Title: Construction InspectorJob Description
A national engineering firm is seeking a Construction Inspector to work on major water-related infrastructure projects in the King County area. The Construction Inspector will provide construction oversight on small to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure public works projects, including water, wastewater, treatment, pipeline, pump stations, and reservoirs. Travel will be required for this position.
Responsibilities
Provide daily onsite oversight of contractor and its construction activities under the supervision of the Construction Manager/Resident Engineer.
Perform necessary inspections to ensure the project is being constructed in compliance with the contract requirements and applicable permits.
Provide daily written reports detailing daily activities, labor, and equipment.
Track contractor schedule compliance.
Prepare written communication between owner and contractor.
Coordinate meetings with contractors, clients, and staff.
Provide quality control inspection of contractor’s work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years’ experience with all facets of construction including civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
Experience with sewer rehabilitation, municipal projects, water and wastewater pipelines, agriculture pump stations, and/or water or wastewater treatment plants, for both new construction and rehabilitation, is strongly preferred.
Certifications for specialty inspections of steel, concrete, welding, coatings, and other aspects of infrastructure projects is a plus.
Work Environment
The candidate is expected to be in the office once a week to collaborate but will need to be able to travel to sites frequently. Projects are located in the greater Seattle area.
