As part of a passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for assisting engineers and technicians with assembling, testing, and implementation of flight components and flight articles for development purposes. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude with emphasis in component level assembly. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, helium, nitrogen, aircraft fluids, the ability to read schematics, and familiarity of AS9100 are a huge plus. This position will also require your dedicated commitment and attention to detail of hydraulic and pneumatic components, test articles, and maintaining a safe working environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembling valves, check valves, and other hydraulic/pneumatic components Operate hydraulic/pneumatic flow test benches and portable test stations Using flowmeters, transducers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and other test devices to interpret the test results of a test article Using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices for assembling flight hardware Safety wiring of completed test articles to prepare for service Read, create, and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&ID's Working with pressures up to 10,000 psi Understand various types of fittings Use of shop tools, equipment, and machinery Acceptance Test Procedures, Factory Acceptance Testing, Customer Acceptance Testing Installation of Helicoils, seals, and O-rings Understanding of AS-9100 requirements and audits Following work order instructions to assemble and test according to engineering instructions Ability to identify documentation errors and work with engineering to correct any issues Fill and supply cryogenic Dewars and high pressure gasses (Helium and Nitrogen) Maintain a clean and organized work environment Flexible to change QUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years' experience in related field Hands-on experience developing and executing work instructions Strong written and computer skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. DESIRED: Basic use of CAD Pneumatic test equipment experience Hydraulic knowledge Development Lab and Production Lab experience LabVIEW or PLC experience Understanding of clean room environments Understanding of precision cleaning Understanding of oxygen level cleaning Familiarity with typical aerospace testing and quality processes (AS9100, FOD Control, Lean, 5's, etc.) Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $29.03-$40.65
