Cadwell Industries Field Applications Specialist in Seattle, Washington

Position Summary:

The Northwest Field Applications Specialist is a customer-facing role, responsible for conducting regional equipment installations, technical product support, and customer training, for Cadwell's PSG, EEG, and EMG product lines. The position is an integral part of a regional sales team, supporting and traveling primarily within the Northwest area, and requires residence in a major metropolitan area (Seattle, WA or Portland, OR) with an international airport in the defined Northwest territory.

 

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform system installation and training at customer locations
  • Interface with customers (including their IT teams) prior to the installation to identify and address any potential issues that could impact the upcoming installation
  • Build effective relationships with customers
  • During non-travel days working from home, provide customer call support for Cadwell systems and applications
  • Assist regional sales teams with product presentations and demonstrations as needed
  • Assist at conventions and workshops with product demonstration, user training, and marketing, as needed by department manager
  • Follow established technical and administrative policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

     

Education / Experience:

  • Combination of 4+ years of related experience/education in clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine, electroencephalography or related clinical disciplines; IT, or biomedical required; Technical certification may be used in lieu of 1 year of experience
  • RPSGT or REEGT certification desired

Job Knowledge / Requirements:

  • Computer proficiency is essential, with a working knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking basics
  • Be able to travel up to 80% of the time for installations, etc.
  • Skilled in problem analysis and resolution to accurately assess customer needs
  • Computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including receiving, understanding, following and explaining oral and written instructions, technical information, procedures and schematics, including to audiences of various sizes and technical depth
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
  • Interact with customers and co-workers with a professional and solutions-oriented approach
  • Critical success criteria include attention to detail, organized approach to work, effective time management and follow-through
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of Cadwell product lines and how they are used by clinicians, and know what questions to ask in order to be effective in assisting customers
  • Attend industry workshops, tradeshows, and courses approved by Cadwell

     

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

Positions working with Cadwell equipment generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
