ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, set up operations, material, labor, and other items necessary to perform work.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to follow projects from estimation to completion, monitoring and providing updates throughout
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of Machine Shop Estimating/Quoting experience of medium to high complexity parts, including knowledge of setup and operation of a diverse range of machines. Quoting experience must be with CNC Mill and Lathe operations in a Job Shop environment.
- Extensive experience/knowledge in reading, analyzing, and understanding technical specifications, drawings, bills of material, material, and process specifications, quality documentation, and associated documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of the types of tooling required for specific applications.
- Experience with the planning and manufacturing modules of ERP systems.
- JobBoss and CNC programming experience is a plus.
- Extensive experience with the machining of different types of materials.
- Knowledge of practical use of inspection and measurement tools in part dimensions.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- Frequently moves about the office and machine shop to gather information and perform work.
- Frequently works at a computer performing research, documentation review, quoting, communicating with customers, and other activities for extended periods of time.
- Frequently communicates with managers, technical staff, and coworkers in the performance of job duties.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Calculate production costs using labor, raw material and processing price estimates.
- Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for management and customers.
- Communicate with customers on proposals, quotations, and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of work instructions for new and revised existing projects.
- May have other duties assigned or required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
