The Opportunity with McKinstry McKinstry is seeking a forward-thinking Enterprise Director of Safety who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and vision for our safety initiatives. With a focus on effective leadership and collaboration, the ideal candidate will drive enterprise-wide safety programs and teams to ensure the well-being of our employees and partners. Essential Job Functions Develop and communicate a strategic enterprise safety vision aligning with business goals. Collaborate with executives to integrate safety into business strategies. Drive accountability for safety policies and regulations. Lead enterprise-wide strategic safety programs and initiatives. Provide strategic leadership to senior executives regarding safety. Manage department P&L and regulatory reporting. Support various safety initiatives with strategic vision and expertise. Guide operations in strategically implementing safety programs across locations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations nationwide. Represent the company to regulatory agencies and stakeholders. Communicate strategic safety vision initiatives internally and externally. Identify and mitigate safety risks effectively. Build and lead an enterprise-wide Safety Team. Translate safety vision strategy into operational plans. Lead response to industry trends and best safety practices. Communicate comprehensive safety vision and strategy company-wide. Establish a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Foster collaboration and integrate safety practices into all departments. Achieve enterprise KPIs and assigned strategic metrics. What you'll need to succeed at McKinstry Fifteen (15) years of experience in administering, developing, and managing safety programs and compliance, including 5+ years at senior level, required. Ten (10) years of experience managing complex organizations, required. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience. Demonstrate executive presence, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders. Exhibit strong strategic leadership and communication skills across all levels. Drive strategic planning and execution, translating vision into action. Lead high-performing teams, promoting innovation and improvement. Experience in process improvement and statistical analysis necessary. Manage multi-functional teams with dotted line reporting structure. Possess broad knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines. Experience in defining and achieving organization-wide objectives.
