Engineer- Data II

Seattle, WA / Huntsville, AL / Rocket Park, FL

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

  • Help optimize data operations, scalability, performance, and foster collaboration.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure and systems.
  • Manage and optimize data workflows, solve complex issues and driving continuous improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Monitor, maintain and optimize data pipelines, databases and related infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, processing and storage in a timeline manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement correction actions to prevent and mitigate system failures and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable and automated data solutions around pipelines, databases and storage systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in data operations, development operation, or related role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies(eg., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure as code, continuous integration and deployment automation.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and testing automation
  • Be part of the on-call rotation and occasionally work weekends.
