Job Description

A Director within the Nordstrom Technology organization helps create an inspiring workplace where talented people are empowered to drive customer experiences and business results. This key leader influences the organization through servant leadership and leads with empathy. They also set the strategic direction for a division or area with broad and deep technical knowledge and a clear line of sight into how the organization’s work advances the business strategy.

We are seeking a technology leader to join the Employee Experience Core Leadership Team.

It is an exciting time for Employee Experience, as we reimagine selling in a digital world and develop a best-in-class Productivity & Collaboration tech stack. This role will drive Employee Technology by leading our Corporate Services team that empowers employee productivity to drive results and supports Employee tools such as ServiceNow, TalentBook, Endpoint Platform Services, and Collaboration Services. We are looking for a candidate who can be a key advisor on the Employee Experience Core leadership team, lead a highly talented team, and be passionate about maturing our tech capabilities to power our people priorities.

A day in the life…

  • Has full leadership responsibility for all teams under Productivity & Collaboration, including Endpoint Services, Collaboration Tools, and ServiceNow.

  • Drives organizational structures and talent management plans to meet needs of organization

  • Identifies and develops leaders, builds teams

  • Has ownership and accountability over creating new systems and evolving existing systems

  • Drives architectural decisions for function and enterprise

  • Drives and influences Employee Technology Strategy and Roadmap

  • Partner with business leaders to provide technical advice and influence strategic decision making; collect requirements, map to implementation and select the right technology

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s Degree, preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Technology

  • 5+ years leading and developing teams

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of Productivity & Collaboration to the business

  • Full understanding of Productivity & Collaboration lifecycle and how Productivity & Collaboration technology supports and enables various corporate processes

  • An understanding of the Productivity & Collaboration tech landscape and familiarity with existing and emergent software

  • Experience in Architecture Frameworks for enterprise architecture

  • Experience with ServiceNow and other Productivity & Collaboration systems with data, integration and analytical related technologies (big data, relational data structures, industry reporting tools etc.)

  • Strong Leadership and team management skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $200,500-$332,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
