The Husky Union Building (HUB) serves as the center for the UW community life, and complements the student experience through an extensive variety of cultural, educational, social, and recreational programs.

The HUB custodian for swing shift serves as a team member, performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities. Our custodians are an essential provider of customer service for the Husky Community and guests.

The HUB is pleased to announce an opening for a Swing Shift, Full-Time Custodian (NE S WFSE Campuswide). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Custodial Duties (100%)

  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, meeting rooms lounges and hallways in accordance with established procedures and standards,

  • Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors; emptying waste, recycle and compost containers.

  • Dusting and cleaning walls, doors, windows woodwork, furniture, etc.

  • Stripping, cleaning, buffing and applying finish to floors; using high-speed floor machines; vacuuming and cleaning carpets.

  • Using and maintaining assigned power equipment and hand tools such as vacuum, broom, mop, squeegee, or ladder for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets and furniture.

  • Vacuuming furniture, window blinds and walls.

  • Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical ability to do required work. Shift

  • 4:30 P.M. - 1:00 A.M. M T F SA

  • 3:30 P.M. - 12:00 A.M. SU

  • Days off: W TH What you'll need to succeed:

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.

  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate in a variety of situations.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • An eye for detail.

  • Dedication to a high level of customer satisfaction. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
