We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the bustling city of Seattle, Washington. The selected candidate will play a vital role within our team, overseeing all day-to-day functions and responsibilities of our US Accounting Team. This role encompasses a broad range of tasks including general ledger preparation, financial audit management, and financial and accounting policy implementation, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable

• Spearhead process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency within the department

• Assist in the preparation and review of US financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards

• Develop and uphold accounting standard operating procedures and ensure team members are well-trained and abide by these policies and procedures

• Manage the US year-end audit and any other financial audits, liaising directly with both internal and external auditors

• Stay updated with future regulatory developments, oversee research of accounting standards and update policies and procedures accordingly

• Coach and mentor the US Accounting Team consistently

• Provide accounting support and expertise in ERP integration projects

• Serve as a liaison between the accounting department and other cross-functional teams within the organization, offering accounting expertise to the wider US teams

• Support the VP, Global Controller with other duties as necessary.

Skills:

• Proficient in Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Understanding of the Manufacturing Industry

• Demonstrated Leadership Skills

• Proven track record in Process Improvement

• Familiarity with IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds

• Ability to Prepare Financial Statements

• Skilled in Reviewing Financial Statements.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 + bonus.
