Confidential CNC Machinist in Seattle, Washington

As an Machinist you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and programming computer numerical control CNC machines to produce high-precision components. 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up load and operate CNC machines according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
  • Write and modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect and address any issues or deviations.
  • Conduct quality checks and measurements to ensure parts meet required specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain a clean digital file archive
  • Work with the team on keeping machine templates up to date

* Basic Qualifications:*

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft word and Excel
  • 3+ years of CNC machine operation and programming is preferred. Either industry or technical college experience is acceptable.
  • Strong knowledge of G-code and CAM software.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to set up fixturing using standard fixture hardware
  • Ability to design custom fixtures
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced machinists.
