As a business analysis manager on US Retail Operations Finance, you will provide direct and dedicated financial support to US Retail operational leaders through partnering on key strategic initiatives, reaching revenue and profit goals, identifying middle of the P&L improvement and managing rapid growth.

As a business analysis manager supporting US Retail Operations, you will…

  • Provide financial support for the operational leaders – you will provide dedicated finance support for four to five Regional Vice Presidents in the US Retail Business (everything from revenue to profit and in between)

  • Drive informed and responsible decisions – you will partner with cross-functional teams to develop plans, conduct analyses, measure results, and improve processes to maximize revenue and margin

  • Hold leaders accountable – not only will you partner to create the annual financial plans for your regions, but you will also hold leaders accountable to their results throughout the year through robust reporting and analysis

  • Tell the financial story – you will be responsible for communicating both the total US story to your regional leaders as well as region specific results and trends (covering the full P&L)

  • Coach others – You will actively provide coaching, direction, and leadership to other team members to achieve business results

  • Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team - have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Progressive experience in financial analysis, modeling, budgeting and business planning (7 years)

  • Applicable retail industry experience (5 years)

  • Contributing to and leading cross-functional teams (5 years)

  • Making recommendations to decision makers (5 years)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to effectively present information to senior leaders

  • Ability to influence without authority vertically and horizontality throughout the organization and with cross- functional teams.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

  • Business analysis skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

  • Ability to quickly identify the information needed to evaluate new business situations and to collect and organize appropriate quantitative and qualitative information

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
