Lead rate level indication and pricing segmentation, improving modeling techniques with advanced actuarial methodologies. Create and modify SQL queries for claims analysis. Prepare actuarial rate filing exhibits for regulatory submissions and produce prospective expected loss ratio (ELR) estimates by state. Perform extensive analysis on pricing for new and existing products. Participate in quarterly and annual IBNR reserve analysis, including accounting and currency translation considerations. Engage in quantitative projects involving claims and financial modeling applied to insurance. Facilitate communication, documentation, and coordination between actuarial and non-actuarial departments and external stakeholders. What You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field 4+ years of property/casualty actuarial experience Completion of at least three preliminary exams and 1 MAS exam (additional exams preferred) Proficiency in SQL, R, Excel Macros, and Power BI Strong analytical skills with a focus on rate indications and reserving Excellent communication abilities and a self-motivated attitude Active membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS) is a plus Why This Role is Unique: Gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial tasks beyond just reserving, including creating rates for new products.
