How can you make an impact? McGraw Hill has an opening for an experienced, innovative, and strategic Achievement Specialist. Reporting to the Director of the Achievement Solutions Group, the Achievement Specialist will be responsible for marketing and selling a specialized portfolio of curricula to schools in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. Candidates must live in Washington or Oregon. This position is remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. What you will be doing: Developing interdependent partnerships with high-level school district administrators to improve levels of student achievement. Working with district leaders to review data for the purpose of identifying achievement gaps and proposing solutions to move students to levels of proficiency. Generating revenue by developing sales strategies and action plans for target accounts. Strategically tracking activity in targeted accounts and accurately forecasting opportunities. Working with the Director to develop sales strategies for specialized markets and funding opportunities. Work with the principal internal stakeholders to provide input on achievement solutions product presentations and selling tools. Responsible for product mastery in the form of informal and formal presentation skills. Responsible for driving attendance of key decision-makers in targeted accounts to events that include achievement solution products. What you'll need to be successful: Experience maintaining a sales pipeline. Proven success in educational sales- Calling on district level administrators. Knowledge of the specialized markets (Title I, Special Education, MTSS). Knowledge of Direct Instruction and/or Open Court Reading. Strong presentation and negotiation skills. Excellent listening, synthesizing and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as a team player and relate to internal and external customers. Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Salesforce. Must be focused, disciplined, and have sales skills needed to "close" business. Extensive Travel (up to 75% travel). The pay range for this position is between $75,000 - $85,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sales commission plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
