Occupational Therapist Job Description:

The candidate must be licensed in the State of Washington and have the ability to assess and treat patients with a range of complexities. The OT plans and provides occupational therapy program for treatment of patients in a home care setting, including but not limited to, restorative care and patient training for activities of daily living.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates occupational therapy activities in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team
• Evaluates and treats the patient using evidence-based techniques.
• Plans an individualized occupational therapy program with a variety of sensorimotor, educational, treatments based on the individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interests/goals.
• Utilizes safe patient handling techniques for all patient transfers, lifts and positioning.
• Recommends and train patient and caregivers on adaptive equipment
• Provides instruction on fall prevention and pain management

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist
• BLS certification
• Willingness to learn and be a team-player
