Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Supervises, plans, coordinates and implements the overall strategic operations, policies, workflow, services and staff development. The manager of Navigation will ensure all aspects of the Oncology Care Model (OCM) is in compliance with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements. The supervisor will be responsible for enhancing the navigation model to align with a Centers of Excellence Program and sustaining workflows that support nationally recommended guidelines for patient navigation. Oversee and assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission, and critical goals of the organization into their job performance. Supervises and maintains the Oncology Nurse Navigation and Patient Navigation operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) guidelines to patient navigation by utilizing both Oncology nurse Navigation and Patient Navigation roles within scope of practice while maximizing resources. Measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments based on recommended best practice for patient pathways Supervises and maintains Navigation staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff. Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results. Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Facilitates inter/intra departmental collaboration, communications and promotes problem solving. Uses evidence-based knowledge in the decision making to improve and maintain high-quality cost-effective patient care. Continuously develop Navigation Work Flow models to meet the demands of patient care regimens, physicians recommendations/nationally recognized evidence based best practice. Will ensure all aspects of the Oncology Care Model are in compliance with the requirements of Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing navigation services across the system. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN, BScN) from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution Legally licensed to work as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona Required Experience 5 years of RN and clinical experience in Oncology Required 3 to 5 years of Oncology Nurse Navigation Experience Required Licenses and Certifications Nursing\RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure Required Nursing\OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification Required
