Machinist Technician

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

\$19.75-\$24.75/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain light-duty bench and floor machine tools to cut, shape, and assemble precision metal components for mission-critical defense and security systems.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machining tools to produce precision metal components.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks.
• Conduct quality checks using gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure accuracy within tight tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and managers to ensure smooth production workflows.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of relevant experience.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and CAD drawings.

• Basic knowledge of materials and machining processes.

• Proficiency in using mechanical hand tools and simple power tools.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
