Robert Half IT Support Specialist in Scottsdale, Arizona

Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Scottsdale, Arizona, and are actively seeking an IT Support Specialist. This position is within the education industry and involves dealing with various IT-related tasks. The chosen candidate will be responsible for resolving system issues, maintaining action plans, and supporting users with hardware and software-related problems.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve system issues, ensuring high-quality work and user satisfaction

• Maintain action plans for problem resolution and keep users updated on progress and status

• Conduct trend analysis of call information, hardware, and software

• Work with vendors for required service, holding them accountable to service levels

• Test and deploy new software and hardware and plan for necessary upgrades

• Assist users with computer, audio, and visual issues related to virtual meetings and facilitate training for new software and hardware

• Support the IT Integration Team on new acquisitions and pre-integration due diligence

• Perform setup and configuration of primary workstations, ship and track hardware, receive user input for IT needs, and recommend future improvements

• Assist with onsite IT hardware setup and configuration, including PCs, networking, time clocks, and access control systems

• Support post-integration clean-up, including domain transfers, email migration, and additional vendor integrations. Requirements

• Travel 50% (in and out of state)

• Must possess strong knowledge and experience with Computer Hardware

• Proficiency in Configuration Management is required

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise is crucial

• Must have the ability to perform Break Fix tasks efficiently

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties

• Team player who can also work independently without constant supervision

• Must possess strong customer service skills

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Experience working in an educational setting is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred

• Relevant professional certifications are desirable

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
