Air Mobility Command Recreation Aid Information Tickets and Travel in Scott AFB, Illinois

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Scott AFB, Information, Tickets & Travel. This is a Flexible position, guaranteed 0-40 hours per week. Responsibilities Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the daily operation of the Information Tickets and Travel function. Types of duties include, but not limited to, selling tickets to theme parks, and other local entertainment. Accepts cash, checks, and credit cards for payment. Accounts for all tickets and ensures all transactions balance and unused tickets are properly stored so as to preclude theft of controlled items. Sets up displays within the Information Tickets and Travel office. Assists staff in setting up Services events. Completes deposit paperwork at the end of the day. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of tickets and travel program is desirable but not required. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively. A knowledge of basic math is required. Must satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check. Must be 18 years of age. Education This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
