Your New Role and Responsibilities

We have an opportunity with one of our key government programs providing support and maintenance of a range of large enterprise environments. This role will see work within a high-performance team working across a wide range of Server management and infrastructure technologies.

In this role you will bring an adaptable mindset to keep up to date with the expanding technological demand of a large scale enterprise environment as well as identify and provide opportunities to improve internal processes and procedures.

As a Senior Systems Administrator for our midrange environment, your role will perform the following (but not limited to):

  • Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Server related infrastructure systems, operating systems and their hosted services

  • Create, update and amend process documentation, knowledge base articles, and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Interact with key business stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise and solutions for a range of server and virtualisation challenges

  • Providing high level mentorship to junior staff members, ensuring knowledge is shared and maintained across the whole team

  • Take a proactive approach and show the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

Coupled with your education and professional experience, it would be desirable if you demonstrate:

  • Proven experience administering, configuring and managing large-scale Server environments

  • Experience working with VMware Virtualisation Products: vSphere, ESXi, SRM, ARIA Operations, SDDC, VCF, Lifecycle Manager etc.

  • Server Hardware Administration: Cisco UCS, Nutanix, Dell OME

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems

  • PowerShell scripting and strong understanding of ITIL V4 processes

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a NV-2 or greater security clearance.
