Date: June 24, 2024 Position: Senior Maintenance Mechanic, 12-month position Supervisor: Jonathan Cucchiaro Starting Date: August 15, 2024 Starting Salary: $65,000 Closing Date for Applications: July 22, 2024 Minimum Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalency •Four (4) years of experience in either general building construction, maintenance, or repair work in one or more of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:•Thorough knowledge of modern buildings and grounds, maintenance and repair and construction practices, and safety precautions •Thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of one of the standard trades and a good knowledge of one or two more of the additional standard trades•Ability to communicate, understand and execute oral and written directions •Ability to lay-out work for oneself and others;•Ability to assess the work of others and redirect and train as needed •Available to respond to emergency situations; •Reliability• Pride in one’s work/workplace •Physical condition to commensurate with the demands of the position Duties to include but not limited to: •Supervision of maintenance/custodial/grounds/cleaner staff including nightly check-ins•Periodic inspections to determine condition and need for maintenance/repair of grounds, buildings, and equipment•Requisition materials and maintain records •Electrical/HVAC/plumbing installation or repair •General maintenance or repairs including masonry, windows, doors, roofs, walls, furniture, or similar •Communicates with outside agencies on matters related to building projects and repairs •Other duties as assigned Submit Resume’ and Letter of Interest to: Jennifer Cappelletti, Superintendent 3968 Washington StreetScio, NY 14880EOE/AA
