Summary of the Role

The Manager of Training Services plays a crucial role within the management team, overseeing training activities to ensure compliance with the ATO approval and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role involves leading the training department across the area (currently 2 locations), fostering collaboration, and managing the qualifications of instructors with attention to detail. Effective record keeping and coordination are key responsibilities, as is working closely with stakeholders to optimize training delivery for organizational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage Training Manager & instructors, ensuring adequate staffing levels and addressing performance issues promptly.

  • Supervise ground school and flight simulation training to ensure compliance with ATO regulations and maintain high-quality standards.

  • Collaborate with Deputy Head of Training and CFI to address training discrepancies and implement necessary revisions.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients and training department, addressing feedback and assisting with client needs.

  • Act on behalf of Deputy Head of Training when required , ensuring smooth operations and adherence to established guidelines.

    Prerequisites:

  • hold or have held an ICAO ATPL license issued in accordance with Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention, and EASA Instructor Qualification applicable to the branch.

  • Experience as a manager in the flight simulation and/or aviation training industry, including supervision of active pilot training.

  • Active and outstanding knowledge of the EASA regulatory framework on licensing and training organization.

  • A good level of IT proficiency .
