Job Summary

Senior Sous Chef Job Overview:

As the Senior Sous Chef, you will assist in the successful operation of the Culinary Department, overseeing five retail units. Your responsibilities include supervising, preparing, and cooking various food items, developing daily menu items, and their garnishment. You will also supervise hourly associates and work closely with the Executive Chef to create new menus, manage orders, and maintain cost controls. This is a dynamic role suited for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditures

• Help plan and create menus

• Oversee catering events and execution

• Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with the marketing and culinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with relevant experience

• Progressive kitchen management experience

• Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations is highly desirable

• Catering experience is a plus

• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and food cost controls

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet

• Willingness to engage in patient satisfaction programs

• ServSafe certification is highly desirable
