Slitting Machine Operator

$20+++/hour

Job description:

Join our team as a Slitting Operator where you will be responsible for setting up and operating Core Cutting & Multiple Roll Wrapping Department Machines. You will cut cores to size for the slitter, ensuring an adequate supply for Slitting Jobs. Additional responsibilities include weighing and labeling plastic rolls accurately, palletizing rolls, and ensuring their delivery to the finished goods area. You will also provide backup for the Slitter Operator during break times, conduct final inspections of rolls, and manage related paperwork and administrative duties. Ensuring adherence to GMP’s, PRP’s, production SOP’s, and Allergen Control requirements are crucial aspects of this role. Your commitment to quality, safety, and reporting any unsafe acts or Food Safety violations is essential. Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are required.

Qualifications:

• Operating Machines

• Setup and Operate Core Cutting & Multiple Roll Wrapping machines

• Final inspection of rolls

• Adherence to GMP’s, PRP’s, and production SOP’s

Schedule & Wage:

Day Shift: 5:45AM – 6:15PM

Night Shift: 5:45PM – 6:15AM

Work Environment:

Work in a 500,000 sqft facility where safety is a top priority. The environment is extremely clean and well organized, equipped with updated breakrooms and a new self-serve vending process. You will be required to wear safety shoes, a hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
