Parts room Receiving Clerk– Full Time, 1st Shift

SUMMARY:

Position Summary:

The Parts Room Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving material and services ordered through the MRO system.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Documents the PO’s for receipt and files the PO in the pending or closed files. Records any shortages, labeling and ID parts, handling any discrepancies as needed.

  • Works closely with the Re-Buyer and A/P to resolve conflicts with receipts or invoices.

  • Assists Re-buyer with faxing, filing, and calling suppliers to follow up on timely receipts.

  • Works closely with Maintenance and Warehouse to package and ship items for repair.

  • Works closely with the Maintenance personnel to ensure that the stockroom stays organized and clean.

  • Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.

  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school – GED – or equivalent is preferred

  • Required to have 1-3 years of experience in a related field.

  • Complete training to be certified on a wave picker and/or sit-down forklift.

YOU’RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

  • Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures manuals.

  • Have sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills.

  • Have the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Have good interpersonal, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant and corporate environments.

  • Have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

  • Are proficient in Microsoft applications.

  • Have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
