The Insurance Support Manager is a natural mentor who enthusiastically leads the Admin Team to successfully supporting the agency on a day-to-day basis. They provide oversight and direction to the Insurance Support Coordinators, by ensuring they go through a consistent onboarding experience, seeing they go through necessary training and by providing continuous and ongoing coaching. Additionally, the Insurance Support Manager will act as the liaison between Insurance Support Coordinators and hiring managers within the business.

Execution of Client Service

  • Supports production and service teams by overseeing Admin Team who handle projects to allow flawless execution of our service strategy as submitted through the electronic ticketing system
  • Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution
  • Consistently follows client service workflows and appropriately engages internal resources such as process support team, procedure manuals and reporting tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy of execution
  • Prioritizes workloads of the team to ensure client needs are addressed and agency expectations are met
  • Assists with completion of various administrative projects to ensure deadlines are met
  • Enters data into Epic for new and current accounts
  • Completes special team projects as assigned
  • Manages time effectively to prioritize workload

Peer Relationships

  • Leverages insurance knowledge and communication skills to explain coverage terms, program options, and other items to ISCs as needed
  • Suggests business process improvements to gain efficiency within the role
  • Strives for successful and effective working relationships with Producers, service team, management, carriers, and agency departments
  • Presents Admin & Facilities Orientation to all new hires of the company
  • Provides tradeshow support to BI teams; assists with billing items, ordering booth materials, registering attendees, completing appropriate forms, etc.
  • Provides feedback at team meetings as well as contributes to learning topics as assigned
  • Strives to learn and grow by demonstrating initiative on a daily basis
  • Assists the Office and Facilities team when applicable

Carrier Website Accessibility

  • Owns the internal management of all insurance carrier websites
  • Communicates with carriers to stay abreast of changes within carrier websites
  • Updates internal procedures and processes for carrier websites the informs and trains team on changes
  • Processes termination information in appropriate carrier websites and remove access in a timely manner
  • Performs regular audits and ensures corrections are made to carrier websites

Develop and Manage Direct Reports

Executes onboarding process, oversees training and education, and introduces to team members to ensure a smooth transition for new employees; assigns mentors and coordinates on the job learning as necessary

Contributes to planning and preparation for the MMA Midwest summer internship; manages Admin intern(s)

Conducts regular one-on-one meetings with all direct reports

Coaches employees by providing methods and resources to finding answers when appropriate

Follows performance management process with direct reports on schedule, including individualized business and development goals developed in collaboration with each emplo
