Project Coordinator (NOC/TEER 70010)
Location : Scarborough, Ontario
The Project Coordinator – Sheet Metal position is an in-office role located in Scarborough, ON and reports directly to the Project Manager.
The Project Coordinator works on site planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating assigned project(s) from start to finish and in accordance with schedule, specifications and budget. Their primary focus is safety, planning, monitoring progress, scheduling, quality, costs management, estimating, reporting, and managing project change under the direction of senior leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assist the Project Manager to ensure site project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are met.
Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Assist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines.
Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts.
Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs.
Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships.
Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
Trade and subcontractor coordination.
Document control.
Purchase supplies and materials as required to complete project.

WAGE AND COMPENSATION DETAILS:
Regular rate of pay: $33.65/hr paid as hourly wage
Compensation may include incremental raises in excess of 2%.
4% for pension plan
40 hours/week; Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
15 vacation days annually (accrued)
Health, dental, and paramedical plan
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
An engineering degree is required
Engineering Technician diploma is required
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in technical work is required.
A minimum of 2 years experience in electrical construction as a general contractor in commercial construction work in electrical is required.
A minimum of 2 years experience working with mechanical and electrical trades and unions in Ontario is required.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 4 years in blueprint reading
Experience using construction management software : JD Edwards and Procore
A minimum of 4 years working with:
Construction scheduling, planning, and execution.
Business operations processes.
Language of work: English
