Hospice of Southern Maine is seeking a 36-hour Resource Nurse (RN) to work 10am-10pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Responsible for assisting and coordinating the day-to-day clinical activities at GMHH and assisting with facilitating communication and providing leadership to the GMHH staff. The Resource Nurse is the primary supervisor on site during certain parts of the day. Performs admissions, manages medication ordering and supply, reviews and updates patient care plans and conducts IDT.

Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program.Associates degree in Nursing required, Bachelors degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Inpatient nursing experience required. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory, inpatient facility (at least the SNF), hospice and/or oncology experience preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Maine. BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment required. Certification must be kept active during the course of employment.
