DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented IT Business Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology in Charleston, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Comprehensive Requirement Gathering: Your ability to elicit, analyze, and document both functional and non-functional requirements ensures that all aspects of the initiative are thoroughly understood and addressed.

  • Effective Requirements Management: Leading or conducting requirements management activities helps in managing changes effectively, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and approve necessary adjustments.

  • Solution Assessment and Validation: By leading or conducting solution assessments, you ensure that the proposed solutions meet the identified business needs and technical specifications.

  • Risk Mitigation in Testing: Reviewing test plans and participating in testing helps mitigate risks and ensures that the solution meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Problem Analysis and Resolution: Conducting problem analysis and escalating complex issues ensures that problems are resolved efficiently, minimizing disruptions to the project.

  • Building Positive Relationships: Developing strong relationships with business and technical teams fosters collaboration and ensures smooth downstream processes.

  • Mentoring and Coaching: By coaching and mentoring less experienced business analysts, you contribute to the growth and development of your team, enhancing overall project success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Maintain a Strategic Mindset: Look ahead to future possibilities and translate them into innovative strategies that drive the project forward.

  • Plan Business Analysis Activities: Identify the necessary activities for conducting business analysis, considering the five business aspects, and plan resources and techniques to document business needs and solution characteristics.

  • Analyze Requirements: Evaluate the relationships and interdependencies between requirements to determine their feasibility and prioritize them based on their complexity and value to the business.

  • Elicit Requirements: Discover and document both functional and non-functional requirements using the Business Analysis Toolkit, effectively communicating business needs and solution characteristics for design.

  • Assess and Validate Solutions: Use requirements traceability to assess proposed solutions throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they deliver the desired business outcomes.

  • Design Solutions: Create and define solution designs with proper instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools to ensure they meet buildability, business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.

  • Conduct Functional Fit Analysis: Break down systems into their component parts to study how well they interact holistically, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements.

  • Validate Solutions: Use best practices, including SDLC standards, to validate configuration changes or solutions, ensuring they work as designed and meet customer requirements.

  • Manage Issues and Risks: Identify, assess, and prioritize issues and risks, using recommended tools and disciplines to minimize, monitor, and control them, maximizing positive outcomes.

  • Define Business Needs: Clearly define the business outcomes that the proposed work will provide, justifying the investment of resources using the Business Analysis Toolkit.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. 3-5 years of experience.

Additional Information/Responsibilities:

  • Significant Oracle EBS experience of 5+ years

  • Experience in at least 3 or more modules: Inventory, WMS, OM, WIP, BOM, Finance, Purchasing, Quality.

  • Completed at least 1 full-lifecycle implementations of Oracle EBS or another ERP system.

  • Experience handling defects and enhancement requests.

  • Overall responsibility of the end-to-end solution definition and delivery in Oracle EBS.

  • Translate customer requirements into solutions that address the business need and leverage’s Oracle’s modern best practice processes. Partner with the functional stakeholders

  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to determine the most appropriate strategy and designs to meet business and project needs, ensuring it aligns with commitments.

  • Communicate complex technical solutions in an accessible and digestible manner to customers.

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the functional domain, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and elevate the overall performance of the Oracle ERP system.

Additional details about the role

  • This role is based out of Charleston plant and the candidate is required to be physically available onsite.

  • Knowledge and experience to work on Agile Kanban process will be an added advantage.
