Guthrie Sr. Analyst, Decision Support - Finance - Full Time in Sayre, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

Function as an integral part of the Financial Decision Support and Financial Planning/Forecasting Teams. The focus will be on organizing, leading, and facilitating both ongoing assignments as well as finite projects. Customers will include Finance, Business Office, Administration, Providers, government agencies, health care organizations and others requiring information from the Finance Dept.

Education, License & Cert:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of financial analytics experience or experience of a relevant nature preferred. Healthcare and cost accounting experience desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analytics. Ability to think critically to analyze and draw recommendations from complex analyses. Ability to communicate clearly. Maintains strict confidentiality.

Essential Functions:

  • Data analytics and metric benchmarking for all Guthrie entities.

  • Operating forecast support. Participate in the creation and maintenance of the operating forecast as a member of the team assisting in various parts of this function.

  • Visual dashboard development and maintenance. Dashboards to include data from multiple sources and that is operational and financial in nature, as well as quality and satisfaction data.

  • Revenue modeling based on current and potential payor contracts, and financial scenario creation.

  • Implementation of cost accounting practices. Maintenance, reporting, analysis and education of the cost accounting system, capabilities, and practices. Profitability reporting for all entities (routine and to satisfy ad hoc requests). Summarize and present key findings/recommendations.

  • Pro‐forma preparation for ongoing departmental and practice analysis as well as acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and other operational queries. Summarize and present key findings/recommendations.

  • Completion of surveys and other information reporting.

  • Project management support. Organize and lead finite projects. Create project plans, organize teams, provide periodic updates to stakeholders, and present deliverables.

  • Work closely with EMR/IT teams to ensure data flow and accuracy, and to assist in issue identification and problem‐solving efforts

Other Duties:

  • Use of Quality Improvement processes and techniques with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and team participation.
