Intern - Software Controls and Automation - 2003890

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Become familiar with the process controls and automation initiatives and challenges across the site and collaboratively identify project opportunities best aligned to skills * Research methods to execute on project and propose solutions with recommendation on path forward * Develop Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes for new programs and/or electromechanical systems within the project. * Architect and develop software and system concepts that satisfy the innovative technology requirements. * Lead programming and development of software and electrical capabilities as needed. * Lead development of required documentation, including software workflows, intended uses, requirements, electrical schematics and network diagrams for developed technologies. * Define and execute required software verification and validation testing.

Education & Experience * Computer Science or Engineering major

Skills * Ability to work creatively in multi-disciplinary teams and strive for innovative solutions * Experience programming in some combination of C#, .NET, Python, LabView, or other standard industrial protocol a must * Experience with programmable logic (PLC) or deterministic controllers a strong plus * Strong analytical skills a plus
