Intern - Automation Development Summer - 2003852

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Support development of software for automated metrology and production processes. Work will include programming and use of robotic equipment. Work will also include complex mathematical operations including but not limited to tensor transformation, ray tracing, and stitching algorithms.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for writing and documenting code for automated processes * Testing, generating, and analyzing statistical data for robotic processes

Education & Experience * Some college

Skills * Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills. * Work effectively with other members of Coherent Infrared Engineering group * Excellent organizational skills * Excellent mathematical skills * Process-oriented problem solving skills * Programming experience with C# or Python

Working Conditions * Office * Extended time in front of computer screen * Non-hazardous lab work

Physical Requirements * Lifting up to 40 lbs.
