Robert Half Controller in Savannah, South Carolina

Description

We are seeking a Controller for a retail business with multiple locations. This role will provide an opportunity to manage a small team and oversee a variety of financial operations, including month-end close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and tax. A key aspect of this role will be handling inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Manage and guide a small team in the execution of daily financial tasks

• Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models to support business planning

• Maintain a robust cash management system to ensure optimal utilization of resources

• Handle tax-related matters in compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Manage inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Utilize accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for efficient financial management

• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations

• Oversee budget processes and implement strategies for cost control.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of Controller or a similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is a must

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing experience is strongly preferred

• Knowledge and experience with Budget Processes

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the specified location

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, a Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
