Under general direction of the Director of Total Rewards, the Sr Benefits Analyst will research and analyze data in support of the companys benefits strategy. In this capacity, the Sr Benefits Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, implementing, and administering the companys benefits and well-being programs. This position will support Colonial and all subsidiaries.

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

  • Evaluate market trends and recommend updates and optimization to the companys benefits and well-being programs that will attract and retain employees.
  • Research, analyze and apply market data to company benefits programs, including participation in benefits surveys.
  • Support annual health and welfare benefits plan renewals and open enrollment. Monitor and analyze plan operations and vendor performance. Develop recommendations for process and plan optimization.
  • Ensures HRIS and benefit administration system contain accurate data and are configured to meet business requirements. Troubleshoots and resolves data discrepancies and fallout.
  • Develop employee communications that enhance the benefits enrollment process and improve participation and employee experience.
  • Review benefits-related requests and questions from employees related to eligibility, enrollment, and benefits coverage.
  • Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Five (5) or more years of related professional-level experience in benefits field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept with a variety of employee communication and training methods.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables) .
