Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing reliability and asset integrity support to the Savannah manufacturing site. The Reliability Engineer will drive improvements in Environmental/Health/Safety, Quality and Financial performance (Asset Availability) through the effective and efficient implementation of proactive maintenance strategies.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive the identification, creation, and completion of long-term reliability plans

  • Act as a Mentor/SME for Maintenance and Production teams on all surveillance and reliability initiatives

  • Efficiently and effectively develop and apply Predictive and Preventative maintenance strategies to plant assets

  • Implement and maintain a training program to support a proactive Predictive and Preventative maintenance programs

  • Thoroughly investigate equipment failures through root cause analysis and develop cost effective solutions to prevent reoccurrence

  • Leads and/or participates in formal, documented process reviews of new projects

  • Provide technical and reliability support to the Project Engineering team so that Capital Investments for new equipment is design to provide high level of reliability and asset performance

  • Lead major reliability engineering projects

  • Develop, maintain, and/or report maintenance and reliability KPIs/metrics

  • Benchmark industry best practice to stay up to date with most current reliability strategies and technologies

  • Learns and / or applies Lean, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement tools and techniques as required in support of operations Lean efforts

  • Uses and supports the company’s Management of Change (MOC) procedures

  • Collaborates with Production, EHS, Quality and Maintenance staff to assure equipment is safely maintained, audited, and operated in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Performs other duties and required.

Requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) from an accredited school

  • 3-5 Years of experience in Engineering (Reliability and/or Maintenance engineering preferred)

  • Strong equipment reliability knowledge such; TPM and Lean manufacturing experience a plus

  • Use of SAP or comparable CMMS

  • Experience with reliability tools and management

  • Good oral and written communications skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment
