Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. 8 years related experience. Requires 5 years prior supervisory & management experience.

Position Purpose:

Works in conjunction with the engineering groups and across multiple company functional departments to develop and deploy technical advances in information technology with business processes. Seeks to optimize company data management processes and deliver solutions which support of activities ranging from development to manufacturing to customer support activities. Supports the overall CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives within Engineering and is responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading applications. Responsible for development and deployment of systems and processes that result in the ability to create and manage high fidelity digital data. Ensure system integrity and controls and manages all product data and information throughout the product's lifecycle.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Develop solutions and deploy technology which provide for effective data management and control across engineering and company organizations and preclude the risk of information loss. .

• Automate engineering change and data management processes and develop systems which effectively manage and control Type Design and company technical data.

• Performs analyses, design, configuration, implementation, and support of system solutions in direct support of business processes. .

• Centralize and interconnect all product information including design data, part information, bill of materials, requirements, specifications, schematics, software and maintenance manuals for company wide accessibility.

• Implement product lifecycle processes which support development programs through improved configuration management and change control processes.

• Develop methodology requirements for CAD/PLM solutions from concept to development through project deployment phases.

• Facilitate collaborative efforts and guide product teams creativity through improved communication, coordination and information access.

• Educate engineering/product teams and management on PLM tools and processes.

• Manage and control systems used for vaulting, viewing and access capability of all design data and documentation. .

Additional Functions:

• Ensure compliance with FAA regulatory requirements for management and control of all type design data. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• trong knowledge of and experience with CAD & PLM business processes & technology platforms.

• Experience and demonstrated successful deployment of PLM tools a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and team building skills required.

• Experience with team management, project planning, process development, application study, design, configuration of system and logic development desired.

• Strong project planning and task management skills.

• Experience in legacy design data migration.

• Experience in PLM program road-mapping, PLM process development, PLM functional design/application design.
