We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Catalyst team in Savannah, GA.

The primary function of this job is to ensure proper maintenance within the facility and to ensure timely productionof highquality products in a cost efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner. The job requirestechnical and problemsolving skills. Work activities include the repair and maintenance of the facility and its equipment.

During your shift as a Maintenance Technician, you will be:

  • Conducting routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and the facility in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.

  • Working independently, if necessary, to complete maintenance tasks and following written instructions.

  • Proficiently utilizing hand tools, power tools, cutting and burning equipment, welding equipment, and operating material handling equipment.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, completing all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Adhering to all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

  • Wearing prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring that prescribed safeguards are properly used.

  • Notifying the supervisor before undertaking a work activity for which you are not adequately trained.

  • Promptly reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor and taking immediate interim steps to protect yourself and others from serious risks.

  • Understanding that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a significant aspect of BASF's Principles and promptly reporting all unsafe conditions and accidents to the appropriate manager, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

If you...

  • Possess a High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma. A Technical Degree is preferred.

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in precision maintenance on rotating manufacturing equipment.

  • Have experience working with SAP.

  • Are skilled in operating equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
