Job Summary:

SEEKING a Division Medical Director of Anesthesiology to oversee our South Atlantic Division

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is recruiting for a Division Medical Director to oversee its network of four hospitals in our South Atlantic Division to include management of employed Anesthesiologists, CRNA’s and CAA’s through HCA Healthcare’s Anesthesia Services.

This is a senior-level, executive position requiring extensive Medical Director experience in practices with multiple locations. The Division Medical Director provides leadership and guidance for division initiatives within the Anesthesiology Service Line. The position includes approximately 75% Administrative and 25% clinical responsibilities.

OPPORTUNITIES HIGHLIGHTS/QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

• Provide senior Anesthesia administrative duties, serving as senior regional service line leader

• Oversee clinical operations, patient care initiatives and maintenance of strategic relationships with division and facility senior leadership, physicians and ancillary department leads.

• Involvement in leadership development

• Knowledge of hospital-based physician services, multidisciplinary team development

• Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements related to clinical practice.

• Must display consistent professional behavior that enhances the public image of the organization

• Experience with quality reporting systems (Dashboards, Medaxion, Q-Genda, NATE, CRIMSON)

• Familiarity and ease with computer systems/applications

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed

• MD/DO required, MBA a plus, Anesthesiology board certification

• Minimum of 5 years’ healthcare experience, preferably in Hospital Based physician services/healthcare consulting/financial oversight for clinical operations

• Successful candidate will need to relocate or be located in Savannah, Georgia or Jacksonville, Florida
