If you are ambitious, like learning new things and want a career, we want to talk to you!We provide standard magnetic cores and accessories as an authorized distributor of several product lines and through our manufacturing services department we machine custom products to meet customer specifications.Elna Magnetics, in Saugerties, New York is looking for a Grounds & Maintenance Technician.Is this the job for you?Responsibilities:Assist in the movement (tear down, move, set-up) of all machinery and equipmentMaintenance of the coolant system, including cleaning drain lines, cleaning of pits, etc.Maintain floor drainsMow the lawn as required using ride on and/or push power mowersWeed whack edges, ponds, and underneath treesClean windows as neededAssist in keeping the shop floor clean, including mopping as neededKeep up with pest controlPerform assigned tasks to maintain the building and grounds including but not limited to mowing, shoveling snow, salting sidewalks, trimming, painting, spackling, plumbing, cleaning, emptying garbage, or whatever needs to be doneMaintain and clean all equipment usedFollow all safety, lock-out, quality and departmental proceduresProvide feedback to the Operations Manager on problem areas with equipment, processes or personnelPerform other duties as assigned in order to meet organizational and customer objectives and business conditionsQualifications:Advanced understanding of mechanical equipment.Good hand-eye coordination.Ability to use small hand tools.Advanced understanding and working knowledge of tool room equipment including milling machines, lathes, drill presses, etc.Understanding of power mowing equipment and lawn mowing techniques.Good working knowledge of basic math.Moderate to heavy lifting involved.Preferred Experience:High School DiplomaMachine repair and maintenance abilities is a definite plus. A minimum of two (2) years in a manufacturing environment in some capacity.
