D.A. Collins Companies Concrete Quality Control Specialist in Saratoga Springs, New York

The D.A. Collins family of companies has brought safety, quality, and productivity to industrial, infrastructure, highway, and bridge construction for over 75 years. As a member of the D.A. Collins Companies, Pallette Stone Corp. is seeking a reliable individual for a full-time permanent position as Concrete Quality Control Specialist.

This position involves concrete mix design, inspection, adjustments, and site/field representation.

Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Perform testing of freshly mixed concrete per ACI.

  • Concrete mix design

  • Concrete adjustments on the fly during testing of freshly mixed concrete

  • Perform gradations, moistures, etc. of aggregates per ACI

  • Assist with Hardened Concrete Compression Testing

  • Assist in designing precast concrete mixes

  • Generate tables and enter data to track concrete mix performance

  • Concrete mix recommendations per job specification

  • Help in other areas of the lab as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two-year degree in related field preferred

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience

  • Must possess at a minimum ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Understanding of current NYSDOT Specifications

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner with NYSDOT representatives, customers, co-workers and supervisors

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Job may require bending, climbing, and squatting

  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends

  • Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time

  • Must pass a Pre-Employment drug screen Pallette Stone Corp. is a Drug Free Employer

Base salary range:

Concrete Quality Control Specialist

$32,000-$81,250

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
