Your Specific Responsibilities:

As a Health Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, focusing on both clinical and clerical support functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Health Support

  • Bilingual Client Support: Provide essential Spanish translation services to assist clients with limited English proficiency.

  • Clinical Preparation: Prepare clients for clinic visits by accurately recording height, weight, temperature, and medical history.

  • Physician Assistance: Support physicians during patient care, treatments, and procedures; ensure equipment readiness and sterilization post-procedure.

  • Clinic Coordination: Maintain efficient clinic operations by preparing exam rooms and guiding clients through their visit.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage medical supplies to uphold seamless clinic operations.

  • Laboratory Support: Collect, label, and process specimens for various laboratory analyses as required.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports to ensure compliance with state programs and assist in specialized treatments.

  • Clerical Support

  • Admissions

  • Patient Intake: Oversee admissions processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Database Management: Update patient records with demographic, insurance, and consent information.

  • Insurance Verification: Validate patient insurance coverage using designated platforms.

  • Appointments

  • Scheduling: Utilize the HMS system to schedule appointments accurately.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with appointment scheduling during busy periods to maintain smooth clinic flow.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish

  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures

  • Proficient in phlebotomy techniques

  • Proficient in use of electronic medical records

    Qualifications:

    Minimum-

  • One year or more of clinical experience working in a medical facility

  • One year or more of phlebotomy experience

  • English / Spanish bilingual (written and oral forms)

    Preferred-

  • One or more years of experience with electronic health records
