Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Design Co-Op.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

The primary role for this position is to support engineers, as a trainee, to develop or improve products or services, reduce cost and develop new product technologies.

Job Responsibilities

This position performs the following activities with engineer or skilled technician guidance:

*Support engineers in the development and/or improvement of products and/or services.

*Gain knowledge of products laboratory test equipment functionality and perform tests.

*Develop basic flowchart, drawings, schematics, markup, 3D/2D layouts using computer aided design tools.

*Develop and/or improve basic systems using programming languages.

*Provide support to engineering runs, tests and validations.

*Develop basic knowledge of products testing, agency standards and field applications.

*Comply with EHS required training, perform all laboratory activities following EHS requirements.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Student in Engineering related areas such as Design, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, Systems, Software, Industrial, etc with at least 150 credits approved. Technical professional school Graduated is a plus.

Years and area of experience required

  • No industrial experience required. 3 months minimum of hands on experience in Lab or university related area experience

Skills:

Technical knowledge

  • Experience with Microsoft office, CAD tool, Programming languages/tools (Java, C, C#, C++, HTML, Python, Etc), EDA tools, database and tests equipments knowledge. Vocational school certificates or university labs participation.

  • Oral and written intermediate english required.
