Eaton Corporation Design Assistant in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS ICD division is currently seeking a Design Assistant.

What you’ll do:

This position uses CAD-based tools 3D/2D, interprets and creates drawings of raw materials, parts, assemblies, electronic bills-of-material, label database, publications, and specifications under the guidance of master designers and development engineers.

  1. Creates Drawings, Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM’s) and 3D Models of provided instructions defined by designer-drafters and project team.

  2. Update old drawing and documentation (hand-made drawings, Scanned, *CAL files) using CAD tools (Convert-to Creo Parametric).

  3. Demonstrates ability to develop quality documentation with Low / Medium technical skills.

  4. Responsible for produce neat and accurate documentation.

  5. Develops basic database files using MS Excel or equivalent label database software, label printing instructions and format files for use in product labeling.

  6. Consults with manufacturing engineers, tool designers, label vendors, and others on matters involving the design and manufacture of assigned products.

  7. Support Engineering Changes in Enovia by performing designer/drafting work under the supervision of a Master Designer.

  8. Support CR/CO backlog reduction initiatives.

  9. Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

Years and area of experience required

Minimum education to include: High school graduate with credits in Algebra, Geometry and Physics.

Preferred education equivalent university student. Desirable: Industrial design / Related engineering

Preferred: Demonstrable experience in design with portfolio.

Technical knowledge

Bilingual: Spanish/English (medium level)

Computer knowledge: MS Office Applications, SolidWorks, AutoCAD. Creo Parametric preffered.

Desirable: PCB Development
