Jostens Corporate Event Planner in Santiago, Dominican Republic

Job Title: Event Coordinator

Responsibilities: This role is a member of the Event Management team, which meets business objectives by creating innovative, quality events aligned with organizational strategies. The incumbent is responsible for pre-event logistics and on-site execution of various assignments for annual meetings, conventions, national conferences, and incentive and recognition programs.

  • Event website design and registration development using the CVENT software.

  • Partnering with marketing to manage trade shows and conventions.

    (college, champ, and yearbook conventions)

  • Develop and manage vendor relationships for event deliverables and services.

  • Development and maintenance of event apps using CVENT.

  • Customer service support for both internal and customer-facing events.

  • Planning and execution of virtual webinars.

  • Maintain event budget and reconcile expenses.

  • Manages onsite registration technology.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required

  • Previous experience in event management

  • Interest in corporate meeting/convention planning

  • Required proficiency in computer applications and database management including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • CVENT experience required

  • Action-oriented and a self-starter

  • Effective time management and organization of multiple ongoing projects

  • Team player with a focus on serving the customer

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Adobe Photoshop / InDesign proficiency preferred

  • Web and email design experience preferred

  • Experience with independent sales reps preferred.

  • Desire to grow in the event management field.

  • Strong ability to self-set priorities
