The Role

Responsibilities include compiling and reconciling the company’s bank account activity and related accounting postings; manage corporate daily cash balances and initiate transfers when necessary; assist with the corporate cash forecast process; support corporate debt issuance and lender compliance obligations; partner with senior management to maintain and improve Treasury process and controls; manage the administrative/documentation requirements associated with online bank portals and account openings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all bank and cash transaction data is accurately recorded and complete

  • Monitors positive pay for Automatic Clearing House (ACH) transactions and ensures appropriate verification is completed to help detect and prevent fraudulent payments.

  • Monitors outgoing wire, check, and ACH payments for various transactions including property acquisitions, development, construction, recording fees, and distributions to investors.

  • Monitor on-line banking and authorized signor access, bank balances and initiate transfers as needed to optimize fees and efficiencies.

  • Own all bank account documentation activities (opening/closing bank accounts, KYC updates, changes to signature cards, etc.)

  • Serve as primary responder to address ad-hoc banking issues requiring same day action (problems with user access, payments, reporting)

  • Assist with corporate cash forecast including update recorded data, identify variances, and support management reporting

  • Researching and reconciling requests related to Treasury Inbox, delegate correspondence to appropriate recipients, track open issues until resolved

  • Revise/Update/Document treasury procedures (operations, audits, etc.)

  • Assist with corporate debt issuance and lender agreement compliance including covenants

  • Partner with senior management to maintain and improve Treasury process and control docs

  • Maintains communication with Corporate Accounting and Finance teams to facilitate and ensure a timely and effective month-end close.

  • Handles other duties as delegated by the Manager of Treasury and Treasurer.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field required.

  • 3-5 years of accounting/finance/treasury experience

  • Excellent excel and modeling capabilities preferred

  • Prior experience with NetSuite preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.

Compensation: The salary range for the position is $65,000-75,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
