Job Information

Amazon Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Amazon Go in Santa Monica, California

Description

Amazon Go is a new kind of store with no lines and no checkout—you just grab and go! Customers simply use the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take what they want from our selection of fresh, delicious meals and grocery essentials, and go!

Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. When you’re done shopping, you can just leave the store. Shortly after, we’ll charge your Amazon account and send you a receipt. Check it out at amazon.com/go.

Our technology creates complex supply chain opportunities that require outside the box thinking solutions that can scale nationally. We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee Store Program sourcing strategies (Coffee, Hot Foods, Froyo, etc), manage long term supplier key performance indicators, and to develop the long term Sustainability program for our holistic supply chain. You will work with third party providers, internal category and instock partners and learn and develop strategies with partners from across Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods.

Key job responsibilities

You will consistently challenge the status quo on current sourcing strategies for our store programs. Programs are special offerings that we consider to be differentiators from other convenience stores. They are highly visible, integral parts of the overall supply chain and customer experience. You will also own tracking shifting trends in vendor availability, building a simple, efficient program supply chain that also provides flexibility and duplicity to support a small expanding business.

You will manage delivery metrics that you set to ensure our products are on shelf on time.

You will work closely with our Promotions and Demand Planning teams to verify our supply chain can adjust to short term needs.

In addition, this role will stretch you to also develop the long term Go Supply Chain Sustainability Program. You will own the development of the program from end to end, partnering with Amazon World Wide Grocery Partners to develop a cohesive strategy.

A day in the life

A day will include meeting with third party vendors that provide our sellable inventory, internal partner teams that collaborate with you on development, execution and new ideas to bring to market. You will report out to leadership on strategy, execution and action items.

If you are someone who has shown success in analyzing complex data, building models, streamlining, identifying process improvement opportunities and pioneering new ways to do things, we’d like to talk to you.

About the team
