Amazon Sr. CX Copywriter, Product and Subscription Lifecycle, Ring in Santa Monica, California

At Ring, we create affordable smart security solutions designed for every home. Our creative team is looking for a seasoned and versatile copywriter to help drive creation of new and existing content routed in strategy for Ring and our affiliate partners, elevating overall customer experience in our signature neighborly voice.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. CX Copywriter who has a strong passion for the customer and their experience; and has a experience working with tech products, product launches, and educational content. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who has successfully strategized, tested/UX researched, and launched medium- to large scale 360 campaigns affecting multiple channel content. This CX writer will work directly with content team creatives, UX research teams, Customer Support, product management, stakeholders, legal, development and QA across multiple channels including email, push, sms, app, support, and occasionally assist on marketing initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

• Concept, strategize, write, research and execute a variety of cross-channel campaigns for product, subscription, education, post setup, onboarding, and retention

• Craft a seamless user experience across all touch points (email, app, site, support, etc.) to blend technical accuracy and creativity

• Deliver inventive, easily maintainable, and scalable solutions for complex design and technical problems where product strategy may not be defined

• Independently lead campaigns and collaborate with cross-functional partners, stakeholders and go-to-market to drive consensus across teams and advocate for decisions that balance customer needs and business goals

• Partner with copywriters, designers, researchers, and product managers to create customer-focused content, continually innovate, and improve existing customer experience

• Refine and define both existing and new processes, mechanisms, and standards to drive cross-team alignment and improve efficiency

• Ability to drive toward clear solutions and balance appropriate tradeoffs between speed and quality

• Test dynamic content across email, help and app to improve conversion, engagement and better understand the mindset of customers

• Be data-driven and obsessed with understanding customers and delivering results

• Produce all copy in a neighborly, informative voice in line with brand style guidelines and consistently apply the principles of minimalism ensuring that customers get the most simplified experience

• Audit our support site to help shape and refine the overall customer experience

• Create simple, educational articles on our support site for various content

Basic Qualifications

• Required: A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating intelligent branding, customer-focused studies, subscriptions storytelling, range of voice, 360 creative marketing solutions, and customer-centric copy

• 5+ years of relevant digital content creation and/or technical copywriting at an advertising/design agency and/or known brand

• A self-starting, bias-for-action personality who is able to thrive in ambiguity

• Highly proficient in Copywriting, up on tech product messaging trends, and applies and encourages execution of best practices

• Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Marketing, Journalism, Communications or similar relevant discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with editing technical content to be delivered to customers with simplicity

• Management of creatives and/or creative mentor experience

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and previous experience driving creative strategy with stakeholders

• Passionate about tech products with understanding of user experience

• Experience working in ticketed Project Management System (Jira, Workfront, Asana, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $178,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
