Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Santa Monica, California. This role is within the telecom industry and will be based in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, cost accounting, and using NetSuite software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function

• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories

• Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets

• Analyze and monitor raw material inventory

• Use NetSuite software to facilitate processes and maintain records

• Develop and implement cost accounting procedures and methods

• Collaborate with the financial team to prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and risk analysis

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers

• Comply with all internal policies, US GAAP regulations, and other legal requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in a Cost Accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Cost Accounting practices

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional certification in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
