We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join Kite’s Advanced Analytics & Data Science team, within the Global Analytics and Commercial Operations (GACO) organization , as the Associate Director of Commercial Advanced Analytics . The Associate Director will be accountable for developing and delivering data- driven insights to support new product launch strategy , planning, and implementation , with a primary focus on Multiple Myeloma. Internally known as an Associate Director of Marketing Sciences, the Incumbent will collaborate closely across key business partners including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Integrated Insights, Pipeline Analytics , Finance, and Business Operations, as well as our external collaboration partner to develop deep analytical capabilities and proactively identify opportunities to enhance Commercial effectiveness. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Advanced Analytics and Data Science, this individual will play a critical role in optimizing commercial launch readiness, facilitating strategic implementation , and maximizing the impact of our products in the market.

To develop and foster meaningful connections with stakeholders, we would prefer that this candidate be located at Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters (3 days per week onsite required ) and would provide a generous relocation package as necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the analysis and synthesis of complex information, opportunity identification, and development of actionable conclusions and recommendations.

• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics , providing actionable insights to inform commercial strategies and tactics.

• Develop first-hand knowledge of Commercial data sets and support stakeholders as a trusted subject matter expert to navigate emerging business needs and the evolving data landscape.

• Conduct hypothesis- driven investigations into detailed physician-level, patient -level and transactional-level data, to gain business insights from various customer perspectives (HCPs, patients, payers).

• Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and sales initiatives, and provide recommendations for optimizing marketing spend and resource allocation to optimize ROI.

• Develop sophisticated analytical techniques (statistics, predictive models, machine learning capabilities, and AI) to enable commercial organization .

• Lead the establishment of data and advanced analytics capabilities for multiple myeloma disease area.

• Collaborate closely with other insights and analytics colleagues to bring an integrated approach to actionable insights

• Support launch decision making for Kite’s multiple myeloma asset including but not limited to developing analytics for field force sizing, physician segmentation, market tracking.

• Conduct ad-hoc advanced analytics to inform stakeholders on key business questions.

• Create , manage , and maintain expandable analytical models for recurring analyses.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate and 2+ years of experience

OR

Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience

OR

Associate degree and 12+ years of experience

OR

High School Diploma / GED degree and 14+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) or MBA with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.

• 8+ years of experience with advanced data modeling and business intelligence techniques

• 6+ years of pharmaceutical or life sciences experience.

• Prior experience in oncology, hematology, and/or rare disease commercial or market access advanced analytics /data science.

• Ability to influence and nurture projects end-to-end through collaboration and foster thoughtful relationships as this role necessitates a high degree of proactive engagement with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Market Access.

• Possess a deep working knowledge of advanced analytical resources and approaches, an excellent customer focus, and the ability to thrive in an agile environment .

• Excellent programming experience in Python, R, or a similar language (ability to independently develop , test, and implement data programs).

• Excellent understanding of database structures, data wrangling, cleansing, and manipulation.

• Ability to independently conduct various statistical tests like correlation, decision tree, regression, random forest to predict and assess customer behavior in the disease treatment journey (HCPs, patients, etc.).

• Significant experience conducting analysis with large healthcare data sets (claims, EMR, etc.).

• Creative , thoughtful problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity and passion for asking and answering questions in large datasets.

• Ability to influence a cross-functional and diverse team and can adapt efficiently and independently in an agile environment .

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .

The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
