We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a company's team in Santa Maria, CA. This contract-to-hire role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic company, providing valuable support in various accounting functions. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy in General Ledger entries and account reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Help prepare financial reports for management, including variance analysis and budget comparisons.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection.

• Assist with audits, both internal and external, by providing necessary documentation and support.

• Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper depreciation entries.

• Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory reports.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
