Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Laboratory Education Coordinator and responsible supervision of a CLS the CLS trainee performs moderate and high complexity testing in areas of Blood Bank Chemistry Coagulation Hematology Microbiology Serology and Urinalysis following established laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A or B.S) from a four year accredited univeristy in Chemistry Biology or a related field which meets the requirements of CA Department of Public Health (CDPH)- Lab Field Services (LFS)

• Concurrent enrollment in either SJSU or SFSU CLS graduate program

• Approved for Clinical Laboratory Scientist Trainee License through CDPH-LFS

Special Skills:

• Above avereage communication and organizational skills

• Must have medical terminology basic computer terminology and data entry skills

Pay Range

$23.00 - $25.01 /hour
